I was disapointed that i couldn't read ahead. The story was so well written and the words flowed so fluently with the story line. I would recomend this book to anyone 12 and up that is interested in a book that will make you not want to put it down. I read this book during my Language arts class, and I felt that there was a twist in the book that gave it a certain. wonderous quality.
So I decided to order the audio version of the unabridged text and it worked like a charm. But this year I have 3 classes and by the end of the day, I would be hoarse from reading. Jim Dale, a classically trained British actor, did a wonderful job using many voices to read Dickens' masterpiece and it really came to life for my students. I ordered the audio book A CHRISTMAS CAROL to use with my class. We are studying the Dickens' novel and I usually read it to them.
A must have for your family holiday travels. My family and I listen to this every year and never tire of this rendition. Absolutely, hands down the best reading of Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol". Jim Dale is the most versatile voice actor working today and puts forth a tremendous performance in this novel.
Brings the story to life as no other presentation. Another "how does he do it" in Christmas Carol.
A pure joy to listen to EVERY Christmas. LOVE Jim Dale. What a fantastic audio.
